The Municipal Court office processes all violations of City Ordinances and State Laws resulting from misdemeanor arrests, citizen complaints and traffic citations. In addition to processing, this office records all violations. collects fines, and provides support to the Municipal Judge.

The Code Enforcement Officer is a person employed by a municipality to enforce all enabling state laws and local ordinances in the following areas: shoreland zoning, land use regulation, internal plumbing, subsurface waste water disposal, and building standards.
